So there he was.

A Poem by Babette

So there he was.

Standing off to the side.

Looking down at his feet,

not meeting anyone of the faces that past him.

I looked from where i was.

His face shape was angular,

like it was cut from stone.

His hair lined his face and head awkwardly.

His body was in perfect form.

 

He looked up.

Across the way.

Directly to me.

 

I felt my body shiver,

my lips part.

I felt embrassed for watching him.

I looked away,

anywhere but his piercing eyes.

That shocked me to my core.

 

I raised my head,

just to see if he was still looking.

He was.

Watching me.

I saw his lips part,

his eyes drop.
