Valley Of Disbelief (Tri-Meter Version)

Valley Of Disbelief (Tri-Meter Version)

A Poem by B-poet

Where can one perspective

Soul go in order to

Lose touch with normalcy

When It's code of conduct

For living decently

Has gone astray leaving

Joy and pain to remain

Reticent in the same

Place now day after day

Ridicule favors rules

Purely to fuse myths while

Having peacefulness at

Odds with gracious slander

Mirrors senselessness like

Turning the other cheek

Into a grief stricken

Moment there's a heartbeat

Heard for all to see near

A real retreat called the

Valley Of Disbelief

your passion and respect for this art form shines trough on every poem you pen. you’re an incredible wordsmith, that exquisitely portrays one’s perception of foreboding, and melancholia.

the dictation, and attention to precise details you caputured here, and fluidity of each syllable with each stanza lends a pleasing meter. -~ most riveting writing, so beautifully penned

The way each stanza of your runs into the next is very effective. It gives it a flow .......into the 'Valley Of Disbelief'. A bit of doubt and questioning isn't always a bad thing. Neither is disbelief, really! A well put poem.

There is not a single soul on this planet that will like you when you are telling them something that they do not want to hear, and even more so is this true if it is something they do not want to believe.

I could hear this song in my head as I read your words...The Sound of Silence. Right now I feel like the whole of society has taken refuge in this Valley of Disbelief. Maybe I'm misinterpreting your words, but the line "turn the other cheek" isn't that how the likes of Stalin and Hitler came into power? We are such a stupid species...will we ever learn from history? Powerful poem. Thank you for sharing.
