Candle-Blowers (Di-Meter Version)

Candle-Blowers (Di-Meter Version)

A Poem by B-poet

Our living lights

Are the eyes of

A future now

Held high to fly

Should be set free

Like caged dreams seen

Blowing in the

Wind's trivial

Reality

A flaring wick's

Melting candle

Wax for our souls

Must make it past

An on-going

Plethora of

Well-wishers in

Disguise as a

Waiting line for

The envious

Masses of classless

Candle-Blowers

A gentle reminder to never let anyone break our spirit. Negativity should never darken the beauty in someone's heart and soul. Brilliant writing my friend.

Candle blowers aka dream squashers - 'candle blowers' is much more elegant - those who in various guises would seek to stifle illumination and kill the dreams - to keep us where they think we belong.
I was inspired B-Poet, thank you.

It seems almost every day we run across candle-blowers that threaten to extinguish our spirit, and yes, some of them do really wish us well. It takes strength and courage to keep our candles burning! My new favorite poem of yours, B, and a pleasure to read.
