Nightly Shades

Nightly Shades

A Poem by B-poet

A calming refuge

Within the twilight

Peacefulness gives birth

To insight unseen

By the naked eye

Dusk draws its curtain

Behind our windows

Darkened glass frames each

Savvy escapade

Shields to save drama

Uncommon for souls

Disguised as pupils

With fixed nocturnal

Instincts plays villain

Unveiled by optic

Faded Nightly Shades

HI my old friend. I havent been round these here parts in a long time - Im sorry that I havent because the poems are as good as they ever were, back in the day.
This is no exception. I really liked the idea of the curtain being pulled on the outside - thats what happens - windows become mirrors to those inside and if teh drapes arent pulled inside, the house becomes an alien ant farm for people outside.
The imagery here is unsurpassed and it really stokes the fires of the imagination.
