In My Finest Hour

In My Finest Hour

A Poem by B-poet

All contradictions will be laid to rest

The quest for establishing

Spiritual fulfillment

In the presence

Of the attainment gates

Affirming the locks of Literary Immortality

Will finally be unlocked

Since the poetic speech key

Within me

Forever linking my destiny

Involving a generous soul's testimony

Addressing the masses

Will cleverly be

Within my reach moreover

I'll triumph over

All obstacle's and hurdle's

Along my path

Awakening a dignified character

From within

So savoring and promoting

Each and every written masterpiece

Will be a purposeful spectacle

As the stars will align in my favor

To be fervor

Towards a signified relevance in my own eyes

Gratifying the need to be

Backed by my own personal honor

In My Finest Hour

To begin with, the message of the poem doesn't come off very clearly so easily. When I read it the second time things get clearer. But then I see and find that poem isn't cryptic too! So this is really a confused state of poem. Writing is good, except two grammatical errors in the form of apostrophe s, which are not needed.

I can't decide if this is the plight of a writer or a statement of self-worth on a grander scale...either way I love the way this piece progresses...these types of poems are not easy to write...I think poets are generally introverted in their views on themselves and their writing, but you write with a refreshingly confident voice and tone...nicely done :)

To rise to our fullest potential is the goal of many, we strive for our own greatness and achievements. To find ourselves satisfied with ourselves and happy is greatest of achievements.

How to define ones finest hour...you could almost say it's constantly revolving since we are always evolving; at least we should be striving to be. But if your truly awake and everything is within your reach, I suppose it could be your finest hour...

This piece prompts a lot of introspection, a lot of soul searching. Great job inspiring thought.

I see this piece as a metaphorical stance on gaining or achievement. I see that there seems to be an undertone of someone struggling and finally finding their "finest hour". This is one of your stronger writes, I think; a little cryptic, but nicely done. I quite like the feel and flow of this one.

I'm a little unsure on this piece in my mind. I pull two thoughts from it.
On the one it speaks of the road to stardom and finally getting the acknowledgement and accolades one feels they deserve..

On the other that word "spiritual" offers up the option of it being a piece on transcendence and enlightenment. Where all your poetic words have become magnified in meaning and you yourself finally understand.

Then again, you could have had something wholly different in mind. :)
