Reaching For The Near-after

Reaching For The Near-after

A Poem by B-poet

As much as

It's anticipated

Each and every reaching grasp

Mirrors a yearning gasp

For a near-after in contrast

With the here and now

An invisible wall separates

Our vision and tangible desire

For a sought after prize

That appears like

We're on the outside looking in on

Our ardent inclination's

Center of attention

Towards personifying the need to perfect

All of our personal imperfections

In the Near-after

Not bad. Nice play on words, and you've used some good language to complement that sort of yearning tone which you've used here. Works very well. Good work.

A clever one, a thought-provoking piece. A person strives to be the best he can. But man is imperfect, and that imperfection leads him to crave for more chances of getting what he want...
Good write!

Bpoet, this is an amazingly well crafted poem, that marries both with imagery and fluidity! Yes, some or all at one time or another are trying to seek both attention and perfection from others, yet feel incomplete when that fails to do so. (I hope i got that right?!)

Either way you very eloquently conveyed this brilliantly in this write, Bpoet. Thanks for sharing and Pen on :)
