Beware Of The Black Heart Epidemic (The Final Diagnosis)

Beware Of The Black Heart Epidemic (The Final Diagnosis)

A Poem by B-poet

Pessimism

Apathy and Envy

Have been the unwavering

Connotations of dissipation

From past diagnoses

As meliorative hearts

Are parading amongst

A demeaned sect of associates

We're all generally

Connected in a sense

With each and every heartbeat

On the planet

Representing universally

As a lifeline for the living

Having been plagued by

Unspoken deceit

Keeps advocating

This blackened epidemic for ages

Filling up countless news pages

Unprecedented within the phases of history

For finding a cure

Having been isolated and camouflaged

During a undisclosed

Amount of time on a shelf

In an emotional laboratory

Hidden in a distinctively shaped bottle

Labeled (The Final Diagnosis)

Has finally arrived

On time

For all eyes to see

Taking only one revelation

From the concealed identity

Of a caring humanitarian scientist

Who vowed to befriend secrecy

Towards restoring compassion

Needed for resurfacing

Within the restored hearts of many

Who've been thirsting

A long time for a enduring sign

Of signified prominence

Within their lifetime

This piece has ALOT to say...wow. I like the vastness of the content and ideas. At first I was a bit put off by the short, choppy lines, but I think it adds to the intensity. This one reads better aloud than it does simply on the page. Lots of great lines.

A beginning that speaks volumes on the current state of collective consciousness that progresses to reveal a ray of hope at the end. Extremely well done.

"From the concealed identity
Of a caring humanitarian scientist"

He isn't by chance wearing fur is he? -grin- Charles Xavier - Professor X strikes again! :)

Always happy to read. :)
