Dying Just To Live Again (The (I) Version)

Dying Just To Live Again (The (I) Version)

A Poem by B-poet

Making it to the grandstands

Of eternity

Is a reminder that we're only here

For the sake of

Dying Just To Live Again

There's a spin on this metamorphosis

Like seeing the sight

Of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly

So it can experience

A greater peace while flying in sky

Freely

Never-ever being subjected to scrutiny

Of any kind

Is a true reminder as to why

Our civil duties within our lifetime

Need to be fulfilled

Before the final day of preparation

Sponsored by freewill

Regarding our exit date

Merits the fact that

Before going on display

In the midst of fellow friends and brethren

Whose lives were influenced by our presence

Have come to pay their last respects

With class

While presently participating in

A universal blessed aspect

Described as

A short-term living privilege

Everyone has

Called you've touched my life

And now I'm saying good-bye

While I'm cherishing the fact that I'll be

Dying Just To Live Again

So I too can join my dearly departed friend

One day once again in the serenity

Of the afterlife

Your tales of juxtaposition tie in nicely; the colorful chance at second life, and the grim finality of our own humanity. Wonderfully done.

Life and death , yearning for both, some kind of release, we all go through this. Dying just to live again, this could be taken two ways, this could be a whole new twist on the afterlife theory that we go through it to just go through it some more, or it could be taken as someone let me live again, my life is so boring, I want some action to shake things up, or it could be both rolled into one. :)

I debated whether or not to make this revelation but this piece immediately brought a Black Sabbath song to mind: Killing Yourself To Live...I'll go out on a limb and guess you're not coming from the same analogous realm as they were, but there are parallels to be made if one approaches this piece from a dark point-of-view...I think that demonstrates an element of versatility here in terms of interpretation, an element only the best poetry can produce...I really like this one.
