![]() Life's Perpetual RaceA Poem by B-poetIn the never ending race of life Keeping pace With a golden piton Within the gaps of each pulse line Of a runner's beating heart On an EKG meter Seen as a track lap amongst Silent partners and sponsors Are long stretches Where my real teammates Will emerge from the shadows at night For my cause In the daylight they're a mystifying mirage Coming forthright As I lunge and extend the written reason A creed representing purposeful relations Is why I belong Amongst the inhabitants of a world That's getting better in the long run Even though wrongs must exist To balance the need for a social equilibrium © 2013 B-poetReviews
