When Will Time Ever Stand Still

When Will Time Ever Stand Still

A Poem by B-poet

When Will Time Ever Stand Still

The thrill

To achieve this

Would complete

The realization to never retreat

When opportunity presents itself

No one else

Has the power to halt the pendulum

Like a telekinetic medium

Feeling the rush

After making it real

By standing behind a podium

Addressing the public

Within a symposium

While their chosen spoken message

Is always

Subliminally illustrating a secret procedure

For finding the answer to why and

When Will Time Ever Stand Still

For only the positive benefit of freewill

And not evil

Well written and challenging.

My fav lines were
"No one else
Has the power to halt the pendulum
Like a telekinetic medium
Feeling the rush"

I read and re-read them, it is in inspiration to write an entire sonnet!!
Thanks for this one and sorry for getting back at you read-request so late.

This simply flows down the page, one word leading to another...creating a thought though fleeting, of wanting a moment, a stretch of time where all is as it should be. Nicely done!

I just read a poem that was very similar by a poet named LisaEve here on the WC. This was enjoyable as well. We have a vested interest in the passage of time. "Will we make it irrelevant by claiming eternity or not?" is the big question.

Neat way of thinking here... Can time stand still ever? There is something pure about time and the fact that it is relative to the physical world. My mind is exploring this poem in all sorts of directions. Thank you for the mental catalyst!

I guess that through freewill we can halt(or at least reduce) the damage that mankind does.

In my imaginative view is just an illusion, but then my senses tells otherwise that time never stay still it keeps moving as the earths keep on revolving around the sun. This poem has a fascinating view point great job!
