Cherished Breaths

Cherished Breaths

A Poem by B-poet

I cherish each and every breath

I take

As I rise and rest

Everyday while

Making my way through the vagueness mist

Of false pretense

On all accounts

That I’ve experienced during

My quest

To maximize my substantiated graces

Seeing vast faces and places

After each and every moment

There’s never stillness

It’s hard to predict and witness

All of life’s forecasted projections

For what lies ahead of my path

My lungs expand and restrict

The airways

I need to take in a precious

Gas called air

To help me share

The gift of penmanship

With all well-wishers

That dwells from within

Getting you to see why

My words reflect

All the cherished breaths

I’ve been blessed to take in retrospect

Inhale, exhale then repeat..Breathing is all that prevents you from dying.
