Socialite Reformation

Socialite Reformation

A Poem by B-poet

Displaying a new found hunger

The somber joy

Of a newly acquired exquisite taste

Will replace

The demeanor

Predisposed on me

Early in life

Through social conditioning

Leaving a trail towards

Generational idiosyncrasies

In this case

Now they’ve been erased

From my mind with ease

Now I’m pleasing my spiritual appetite

To become a profound zestful being

In the delight

Of loving company

Who favor

My views on the cultural spectrum

I’m pioneering

Adhering to the cheer of victory

Over an existing social condition called

Suppressive cognitive conformity

A destitute mindset

Within the land of too many pawns

And not enough kings

Who need to fulfill their destinies

For the sake of their chosen people’s tangible needs

Those that are meant for greatness usually don't fit into society completely, but honor the masses with their courage to break away from the average and create a new path. Another thoughtful writing.

Another wonderfully-written social comment...you seem to have a good knack for these :)

Socialite Reformation - I am not sure where to start on this. I love this as I see a need for a change in a reform that may have been suppressed on you in and you finding a place that is better and peaceful to what you known in the past. Or rather what has been pushed on you.
"Now I’m pleasing my spiritual appetite
To become a profound zestful being"
I love these lines - I think you speak of freedom and exactly what you want to pursue "your spiritual appetite.
The question here is living in a land with pawns who play the game, so do we follow to fit in, or follow our own destiny? And what about the kings? Would it make a difference? Yes this is a great piece. I love the chosen power of your path - pioneering. Moving away from from conformity. Well written! And you have still given me a lot to think about in my own life, which i like, it pieces such as this that stick.
