I’m glad

I’m just a visitor

Within the land of the damned and desolate

How many more gimmicks

And clichés

Amongst the skeptics

Need to be mentioned

Just to pacify

My soul’s inner cry for spiritual ascension

Attention has been given

To my physical shell

That I’ve dwelled within

For the time being

After acquiring the need to benefit

From broken promises

Mentioned

At the beginning of my upbringing

Made by the people I was closest to

Remains a clue

For the ages

As the pages of this life

Are on display and turned daily

Unveiling why suffering is necessary

To understand

The hidden value

Of being human

Heightens the anticipated

And awaited reunion with our new paradise

It’s in disguise as the eternal price

Which was paid for by this fleshly inherited treasure

The total measure of the fact remains true

Become a poetic advocate for change

To be considered a pure saint within this tarnished culture
