Conquering DispositionA Poem by B-poetI turn my back On the nuisances in life That impede my progress Towards a more fulfilled existence I’ve witnessed the vultures within the depths of darkness Waiting patiently to feed of my success As I’m taking a breath of fresh air Out of the window of my fortress Built from surviving tests Disguised as conquests in the form of duress and distress Imposed on the will of my true character The barrier that has been lifted Was a mirror image of what I truly had to fight for What’s now in store for me Is to make it through the tunnel of reality Tarnished by the scope of everyone's envy So I can say in the end That no one can emerge from the shadows And take anything away from me That I chose to accomplish during the race towards prosperity © 2012 B-poetReviews
