Painted PictureA Poem by Brette MedbI've been here before but I couldn't tell you when Only that I recognize this place and all that I've ever been; A lost and lonely child, now a woman but still Confounded and confused in this storm I've created. I find myself submerged screaming into nothingness Digging slowly my own grave in this bleak existence. Nothing is lost, merely misplaced in the terror of failure. Pray for me to find my path, find my way, I've let myself forget how to survive and breath above the sea, I've forget to let myself be warm in your embrace, It comes now into the light, not that of the day But of your eyes in its sweet surrender And I understand that I've forgotten nothing. I've just misplaced everything in the minutes and hours of your absence As it all unfolds in front of me, nothing more than a painted picture. © 2010 Brette MedbFeatured Review
