Breaking Into LifeA Poem by BenyoucefTo all of you out there abused and pushed into being someone you're not... even if it paysThis little girl just couldn’t skate Her mind just couldn’t picture Her mom had failed so it was her the one to make them richer The girl who lost the warmth between those thick layers of ice forgot the playground and her friends She lost them to her vice So luck wore different colors on the day she “broke a leg” the cast she had was lighter than the life her mom did beg Don’t try to mold me anymore just stop there for my sake If I can’t bend beyond this point It means I’ll simply break This little boy just couldn’t throw His mind just couldn’t picture Sadly his father as a coach wanted a starting pitcher He said the boy had a strong arm He just needed some grips Coincidently when he stopped playing he broke some ribs I wouldn’t break the door to life I’ll try to find some spare keys As for the boy if you might ask He’s playing for the Yankees © 2012 BenyoucefAuthor's Note
