 her heart is pounding

her brain is churning

the fear is expanding

teetering on the edge of falling and running 

He said he wasn't ready 

but she was

she thought she could make him ready

but WAS she?

she over analyze

she cant help it my past has her  traumatized

she tries to hide the pain in her confidence

 her insanity twisted into "common sense" 

her rage etched in ink

her sadness burrowing deep  beneath her skin 

 

change she thinks  all i have to do is change 

but how can she when she's still drowning in the same waters ? 

no boat no lifeline no  anchors

she just sinking into delusions

waiting on a wake up call that's all but an illusion 

she changes her hair, is if it could shroud her fear 

she changes her makeup rather she masks up

she talks as if she can walk the walk 

her laugh as fake as "happy thoughts"

but she still cannot change the way she feels 

on the inside  the demons teeth are sinking in

shes being devoured by her own insanity

shrouded by   the   callous  scraps of sanity 

hiding in the cold beneath those fiery eyes.
