Searching for Someone

Someone who could make me smile,

Someone who could care.

Someone who can tell a joke,

And play the ones unfair.

 

Someone who can share my heart

And feel everything like I do.

Someone who can see my pain

And accept it as theirs, too.

 

Someone who can make me safe

By just holding me tight,

Who takes me from the darkness

And back into the light.

 

Someone that excites me

And gives me something new.

Someone that says she loves me,

And does- through and through.

 

Someone who's not perfect

And doesn't claim to be,

Who likes me for who I am

And doesn't change me.

 

Someone who can cry

And be sad when need be

So I am not the only one

Sad when I can't see.

 

Someone who is beautiful,

But think that they can't be.

Someone who- once in a while-

Can rely on me.

 

Someone who is there for me

Every step of the way,

Who tries to make life easier

Every single day.

 

Someone who can help me

Even when I'm blue.

Someone that I know,

Someone like you.
