Lies and Butterflies

Lies and Butterflies

A Chapter by Azura

Lies and butterflies

Are just what life's about!

Don't listen to the rumored tales

That make me want to shout.

That it's a love like no other-

Something pure and true...

It's a stupid hormonal reaction

That makes me so like you!

A ridiculous contraption

Meant to keep us all alive,

And with it comes the expected hardships

Of being someone's wife.

Loveless pain and agony,

Pray God'll treat you nice,

But how do you know not giving love

Will send you to a hell made of ice?

You treat me well and tell me off

In a way I cannot understand.

A fallen angel from above

That gives out a helping hand.

Made from pain and harm, I've always thought

Will lead to

No good,

But in your way you've left me stunned

And completely thoroughly wooed.

I see that light within your eyes,

A false hope, is it not?

But it's naught to leave like a bundle of love

That within it, I've been caught.

Something so cold and vile

Would leave me wanting so much-

To pray your very aquaintance,

Your every freaking touching!

A hurtful thing yet grand at that,

A life lovely- so it seems.

I take a turn and suddenly...

I can see what life means.

A cold-filled life in the underworld,

Maybe that could be...

But all those lies and butterflies

No longer live for me.
