A Turned Soul

A Turned Soul

A Chapter by Azura

Don't you hear that awful sound?
Can't you see me fall apart?
That wretched, awful horrid feel
By one without a heart?

Don't you see the pain you've done to me,
You've done unto us all?
Because I am not the only one
Yet again to fall.

But I am nothing, we are nothing,
Nothing compared to you.
Out of sight, out of mind,
A tale that still holds true.

You held my heart at hand but once,
And never will you see
Again the pain you've really cause
By wretched treachery.

It is not just I, a lover at once,
Pained beyond our words.
But ignorance and worthlessness?
We are not cattle of herds.

Do you think not I, nor anyone else
Would care if you're to go?
To leave us in body, to leave us in mind,
Without the words to know?

We are not your toys to play for fun,
To throw when you are done.
No matter you do, it is too late,
It's a battle you'd never won.

Because in your heart, but perhaps not soul,
We mean not a thing to you.
We are a collection, just toys, playthings,
And are meaningless through and through.

I'd loved you once, this is still true,
And never shall I ever forget.
Painful the memory, yet happy I was,
And still, not a thing I regret.

Your heart was pure just a lifetime ago,
When you knew how to love and care.
But you are not the same woman I knew long ago,
And this is what I cannot bear.
