Nightmare of Reality

I woke from my dreams

To the nightmare of reality-

The truth. The pain.

There is no casuality.

There is nothing but the wretched

Thought of being alone,

When the one who most wants you

Can not condone.

When love falls to ash

And you can't pick up the past,

You feel the world is spinning

And start to fall fast.

There is no one to catch you

When you hit the ground-

No time to be quick.

No time to be profound.

Just you and your thoughts

In a dark lonesome cave,

Sentenced to rot

With no one to save.

This is a place

I'd never thought I'd be

Because I'm painfully aware

Of what you've done to me.
