insipid sanctuaryA Poem by AzucenaVInsipid Sanctuary Discovering
a room missing its walls, engulfed
by white All is stranded in Life’s
blazing ring Here I am concealed from all
discriminating eyes I may frolic to the
rhythm
of my own drumming
music In this room I can truly smile Here I can remember The songs that had been hidden behind a key,
now I
remember They escaped & etched themselves into the soul of my sanctuary of white Even though I provided the lock, I can’t
help but smile For those verses had allowed me to visualize Life’s flaming ring My sanctuary is being buried &
I strung once again to
the music Fear thundered violently for I
would become a mindless puppet if I were to catch a glimpse of it’s glimmering eyes The panic pounded in me isn’t by those ghostly eyes But by
them being
all I can remember My sanctuary collapsed under
the grief
of the music
Retrogressing the acetic white Asphyxiating the flames on the ring And crushing the
masked smile Once everything has dispersed into oblivion, returns my hearts true smile The haunting eyes Previously burnt by the fire
filled ring Amnesia trickles into the veins, now nothing I remember Tranquility shocks back
to life
the white It vibrates fiercely to the rhythm of my music Within
the
music Exists the
forgotten smile All the scenes submerged by the amnesiatic white Hugging the
smile are the coffined
up eyes Unable to remember Amnesia valued more than any diamond ring Deteriorating into nothing leaves my ring The wind chased out by the deafening music Drunken dementia fogs the remembered Strands of smiles The sea of eyes Coaxing every cell that makes me up is the white Freedom sprouts wings on the smiling ring Music gurgles out the eyes Memories tear at the amnesiatic
white with raging fangs determined to recuperate its ability to remember. © 2012 AzucenaV |
