WaterA Poem by Kaelee WyantThere are different forms of water (guys) that comfort you but in the end only one works out.Yeah I was drowning In you I'll admit boy It was what I choose Wrapped all around me I wasn't alone Eyes closed against All other unknown
You slipped Through my fingers We were almost there Leaving this sheltered life And gasping for air Standing by the ocean On your shore Wishing the tide would take me To something more To water
Through the cleansing I thought I'd feel Something that I could hold Something real But I swam right through it It all became too much Cause everything I thought I had I couldn't really touch
You slipped Through my fingers We were almost there Leaving this sheltered life And gasping for air Standing by the ocean On your shore Wishing the tide would take me To something more To water
Feeling the rain fall On my skin Something that missed me And asked me where I'd been Not always here but It watches from above Evaporates my tears And so I'm in love With water
