As I sleep

As I sleep

A Poem by Arizona Hidalgo-Crowe

as I sleep, I lay in my bed very still,
I have so many dreams that take me places,
I imagine myself walking along the beach,
I imagine myself in a world of paradise,
As I sleep, I feel the breeze of night time air,
As I sleep, I am as delicate as a leaf,
I smile as I dream the night away,
the smell of paradise makes me feel good,
the taste of perfection is what I like,
As I sleep, I hope that I could just dream,
As I sleep, I wonder what it would be like if I just stay in my dreams and never awake,
people would be worried about me though, and that is why I always wake up to face what's ahead of me.
As I wake up, I try to make every second last

Good philosophy in this one. Dreams are nice, but we must make the most of our waking life before it slips away.
