What Would Be Your Most Important Rule If You were a Parent?

A Story by Arizona Hidalgo-Crowe

If I were a parent, my most important rule would be: Use the buddy system at all times when not at home. Honestly, the world is a dangerous place. Kids should use the buddy system at all time... including teens. coming back from a birthday party? walking home from school? Sure! Just remember to use the buddy system so you don't get taken or lost. There are way too many headlines about kids being kidnapped as well as abused. No kid wants to suffer such trauma. Using the buddy system would help decrease the chance of something happening to a child. If I were a parent, I would make sure my child either has buddy wherever they go... or I would personally just go with them wherever. Well, not all the time since I would have to go to work. Now, just a reminder to all the parents out there, even though I'm not a parent myself. Make sure you set up a little buddy system for your kids. If you need to, have an adult go with them if you're unable to. Another thing is to make sure there is an adult wherever your child is going. That way, they can be supervised to ensure safety.
