Ghost Rider

Ghost Rider

A Poem by Adam Weems

The devil came down and walked with his smooth stride
Though he isn't exposed, he doesn't hide
He came to my door and asked if i wanted more
I said yes, sadly this i must confess
Look where the road splits, just up ahead
inscribed in my mind "nothing escapes me, not even the dead"
Tall he stood, gazing into my eyes, follow me if you would
Seeping in deeper, listening to the howls of a reaper
 I, the eternal deceiver.

Hi Adam:
I really enjoyed your work. It's a fun piece with a dark twist - which I truly enjoyed. I would make one comment? You may want to consider editing the first line to .."came down, walking..." It may help the flow of the opening of the piece. A great effort I enjoyed reading! Thanks for an interesting read. Nikki
