O.C.D.A Poem by Adam WeemsWhen i wrote this, i had to take a step back and reflect on every decision i had made. The mistakes, the joy, and everything in between. This is that reflection.
I didn't plan this, left some sort of death kiss
No nefarious schemes, no atrocious plot lines Blood letter of confession to your obsession Under a spell of hypnosis, so mysterious Carved into my chest the accolade bleeds "I know that you'll let me breathe" While i'm berated and instigated to drink In honor of the voices inside my head I look into the mirror to reflect On the embarrassments that I've created I'm stuck in this intervention with me myself and I Just as the weather passes by and the clouds clear And i see the sun and moon share the sky So now i feel i'm reviving the beautiful disguise Only to relive the lie and deliver the message That i am alive Perhaps i'll break and destroy you But i forget that it puts you before me So i'll let it be, i'll let it go Remember the dead are listening down below I'm now at the place where waves meet The ground sinks underneath my feet And the sound is the chorus of orchestrated melodic symphonies I've figured out the saddening epiphany "you created me, now kill me" So at the end of the day when we are ripe and old In chairs with a blanket because we complain about the cold I know we will be world's apart But when my memories suppress And a mind that's digressed I'll remember where you were at the start Where you remain in my heart But know i won't commit suicide It's not a lie that i'm aware Of when and where i'll die
