Into Yesterday

Into Yesterday

A Poem by Azariek
"

What happens when you're lost, and backwards is the only forward way?

"

I'm lost and looking round and round,

My compass pointing south,

I'm all alone in silence here,

Except for the sound of falling tears.

Why, oh why won't my golden compass,

Point the correct way?

Why is it pointing backwards,

Towards old yesterday?

Now the road before me,

Is disappearing in the night,

Please, oh please, hear me here,

Before I'm lost to the light.

Help me, please, I think I'm lost,

And looking round and round.

My golden compass points only south,

Backwards, towards a forgotten day...

Pointing backwards...into yesterday.
