Friendship (Loyalty = Trust + Faith + Love)A Poem by AzariekNo one can tell you who your friends are, so don't let them try.I am not alone here, No, I stand with them. Some have said that they're not real, And I should move on instead.
But I strongly disagree, These friends never turned their backs on me. So why should I listen to you, You jeering voices in the back of the room?
They mean more than money or jeers, Give my friends their well-deserved cheers. You who've seen so little, so few, I kind-of pity you.
Try to press all the buttons wrong, Go on, I know you've been waiting all along. Say what you will, say what you feel, My friends are truly more real.
Even more like a family to me, It saddens me that you can't see, But continue on with your own lives, I won't miss your verbal knives.
Family is spelled Loy-al-ty, In my own language, at the very least. It's built on trust and faith and love, And that puts us far above.
So you can call all the jeers you want, My family and I will go for a jaunt, You can cork it, you know, we're leaving now, Without an answer to why or how, 'Cause I don't even know. © 2011 AzariekAuthor's Note
