Prologue

It was like any other day, go to work, come home, check the mail, make a few phone calls, eat dinner, go to sleep, repeat the next day. Life was pretty simple for me, my friends at work always tell me that I need to find a girlfriend, but what good is a girlfriend when I'm a nobody? Well I was a nobody until I met this one girl. She was a local friendly customer that would usually come into the store that I worked at and would buy a cappuccino and one lollipop, a different flavor for each day/ She waked inside the store today. She made her cappuccino and got the Raspberry lollipop instead of the Cherry one she got yesterday. Her name was Amber.


Amber walked over to the counter here I worked and sat the cappuccino nd the Raspberry lollipop down on the counter. She checked her wallet and her smile quickly turned upside down. "I'm sorry, I don't have enough money!" She said to me.


"Don't worry about it! Here merry Christmas!" I told her handing over her stuff.

Her smile came back. "Thank you! I wish other stores had nice caring employees like you." She said, I smiled at her.


"Thank you mam, you have a good Christmas!" I told her.

"You too!" She told me.

That's when I was a nobody no more, I was a somebody….
