TWEAK

TWEAK

A Poem by Kaitlyn
"

I recently read a book called Tweaked and discovered that it means to take a hit on a drug. I (being as uninformed as I am) did not know that.

"

Years ago, you became addicted,

Causing our lives to become conflicted.

Something odd, so unexpected,

Was a shock to be detected.

This new found hobby, not like you at all.

We pick you up, yet still you fall.

Drugs turned you spineless and weak.

You just live for another tweak.

I liked the book Tweaked, in it the character's brother was addicted to drugs and he hated him fr ruining his family's life.

Very powerful piece. The rhyming feels a little forced, though, in some of the lines. Otherwise, this is really great. I love the message in it. Nice work!
