Ifa

Ifa

A Poem by ayosonolowo
"

The oracle

"
Akindudu is the name we call ifa
Akatamaba is the name we call esu,
Long-pointed-stick-that-kills-a-hunter-from-the-farm
Is what we call sango
He who has sparse hair on the chest and goes around last year abandoned farm
Is what we call soponna
It is he who-rolls-them-on-the-ground that is the
Gate keeper of heaven,
He-who-rolls-them-on-the-ground, roll them on the ground
For me,
The sorcerers that wish me evil,
He-who-rolls-them-on-the-ground,
roll them on the ground for me,
The witches that wish me evil,
He-who-rolls-them-on-the-ground,
Roll them on the ground for me.

Wow! If you live in Kano, how do you know about any Ifa or Yoruba deity praise? Anyway, it is a good poem,my fellow Naija boy.
