Stuck in a dream

 

In a place where you and I exist

A world full of fantasies we can’t resist

To you I wish my existence was known

But in this game I am just a pawn

 

You are like a flower waiting to bloom

Whereas I wait for my impending doom

The thoughts of you bring me light

In the darkness of my last night

 

A distance away is where I stay

Everything stops when you look my way

Only in dreams does my love for you belong

When you laugh it’s like a joyous song

 

How foolish of me to think it could be real

And now my fate should be sealed

I wake as reality finally screams

Leaving the depths of my dreams

 

And as the shadows loom over me

Locked in this prison without a key

My heart lives in yesterday that I’ll surely miss

But there’s no escaping Death’s kiss

It's a nice piece of work! Are you a native speaker? I think it must be "The thoughts of you bring me light" instead of "brings" and "Only in dreams does my love for you belong" instead of "do". But I am not a native speaker, so don't trust me 100%! ;)
