Chapter 3.A Chapter by AynsleyAfter breakfast I invited my boyfriend Karl over. I hadn't seen him in ages and he just got back from 'Canada'. "How was Canada?" I asked. "It was great." He laughed, coming in. He suddenly stopped in his path when he saw Luke. "Who's this?" He asked, giving me a questioning look. "That's my room-mate, Luke." I smiled, looking at look him who, was giving me a cheerful smile and approaching us both. "Nice to meet you, you must be Karl?" "Likewise." Karl frowned taking everything in. "So Alice since when did you get a room-mate?" "Well he arrived yesterday." I answered sternly. "Okay." He muttered. "I thought I was going to be your room-mate." He muffled a sigh. "Sorry." I answered quickly. "It was sorta arranged." I added. "Well, okay." He said forcing a smile and entwining my fingers with his. I took them out. "Um?" He asked. "Sorry, I just had pancakes and I got syrup on them." I lied, looking at Luke. "Oh haha." He began to laugh. "Wouldn't want that would we?" He teased. "No, not at all." I studderd. Being in the same room as both of them made everything more awkward and difficult. Firstly I didn't like Karl, not anymore anyways. A week ago I was doing my usual shopping routine when I saw him pashing some other chick when he was supposively in 'Canada'. What a liar I thought. I quickly ran to the sink and washed my hands, taking as much time as possible then returning. I wasn't angry or upset about Karl, afterall I had a week to cry and b***h about it. It's just I don't want to break up with him since he proposed to me infront of my parents, and if they knew what was going on they would be devestated, and I didn't want them to be. So for now Karl stays. "So. Tell me about Canada." I joked, looking at him seriously. "It's good." He replied. Good? Seriously he's got to be kidding me. Karl dosen't know I know that he wasn't even there, and if I play my cards right I'll make him regret ever cheating on me. "Where did you stay?" I asked 'innocently.' at this point in time Luke was staring at me suspisously. I looked at him and sighed, then turned away. "Some place." He added, I nodded. Right, some place. Don't you mean hmm a girls place? I thought pissed. "Oh okay. Well, anyways I'm busy so you kinda have to go." I lied, looking at him to Luke. He cringed, but then left. Thank god he was gone. I smiled to myself. "What was that about?" Luke asked. I turned around to see him facing me. "Uh ..." © 2010 Aynsley |
