Introduction

Our story today contains three heroes: one is the Paladin of the Light, one is the Chosen of Fate and Destiny, and one is currently tripping over straight-forward thoughts.  Of our three heroes (not in any particular order), one is doomed to die, one is doomed to failure, and one is…well, just doomed in general.

In this tale, good battles evil, true love blossoms, and a new legend is born.

But let’s skip all the trumpery details of the beginning and end and flee to the middle, where all good stories should start…
