Windows of Sin.

Windows of Sin.

A Poem by Ayanda Mteto
"

Lust first seduce your eyes, then your heart.

"

In a world full of pretence,

Holding honesty captive,

Pretentiously shimmering vanity,

Within the cradled heart bias to profit greed

The origin of a vile serpent,

The roots entangled in the

Falsehood-tongue,

Preaching self-worth presumptuously

Tasting the apple on tree

Munching the rotten fruit,

Spitting seeds of carnage to the dust

Where Adam grew flesh

Turned rivers red that flow his vein

That he cry them back to the arid ground,

The stream that flow his blood-line

 Where he hang his sins,

Carried from father to son; mother to daughter

Soiled desires that tap on his eyes

He opened and let the thief inside.
