AncestorA Poem by Ayanda MtetoWe all belive in the strange unknown to us.Oh great ancestor! What news you bring from the grave Shake your bones; let them speak to me Show me the way you have gone before Let not my journey ride like a see-saw Oh great ancestor! Eradicate the proliferated shadows Of my demise Let my dreams speak your words Give guide the life I live Shelter my innocence like honey on a bee hive Oh great ancestor! They speak about you like the wind That has gone Show them your are alive in the grave Potent your stance with your ponderous rave Let your words not curse Let them be a test
Oh great ancestor! Bless thee, let days to come be a red-letter day. © 2012 Ayanda MtetoAuthor's Note
