There aren’t many like you

There aren’t many like you

A Poem by Ayanda Mteto
"

we all love, but not in the same way.

"

There aren’t many like you

Who can touch my heart the way you do

Who can be all what I need

With every desire satisfied in you

With all my hopes resting in you

Like dreams I awake my wishes in you.

Your love is tender,

Holds me like an infant child yearning love

I see it, in your eyes as they sparkle

Not like stars that dim in day

But an evergreen resonance bright like heaven has open

Stretched its arm to comfort

Hold my bitter heart thorny love has slashed

Still it’s a dream I found you,

Among millions that promised riches that robbed my own

Gave not their hearts, but pain to cry tears at night.

There aren’t many like you,

Who can love me the way I am, not what I am.

There aren’t many like you, so few, that I only found you.
