So you want to kill Time.

So you want to kill Time.

A Poem by Ayanda Mteto
"

Life is death, without breath.

"

So you want to kill time,

Before she send her brother death

To do her evil deeds,

You become deaf when she calls, you hate that song

Dried the land to dust,

Poured her hour in a glass counting grain of sands

How many days you have,

Slowly your skin wither like autumn’s leaves,

Shrivels with wrinkles absorbing your skin to old

Clasps your mind with fear she holds,

Her story is told,

About the masses she stole, infants that never made

It home, snatched them like an Eagle preying in the sea

Food she ‘’fish’’ casting her stings

Playing her soulful enchant

Had you dancing to her song spellbound forever

Aging your days until her brother comes,

Snatch you away, skin pale,

Now I know why, you want to kill time; so you can live forever.
