Human Aliens

Human Aliens

A Poem by Ayanda Mteto

Golden eyes are made of soil

Where they dig

The soul of Mother earth from his sons

“The Adam” they mingled

Fallen blood

Scientist without ambition but gold to harvest,

The world is simple

It gives without taking; it is the tender heart of the Mother

In tears her children in poverty

Fighting an invisible enemy, greed and vanity

The apple was sin,

The travelers seduced Eve planted seed in her womb

A child growing, drinking from her bosom,

Grew ‘till trees were grass

Sons of deceit magnified with pride malevolent to slaves

We humble serve a system design to break our spirit,

The government that controls our movement

Religion manipulating the populace with God

Economic welfare,

Locked us in chains, imprisoned with debts that are imaginary

Like the monetary value

Money is just a paper with ink, cut from the trees,

Our Souls, “tree of Life”

Our mind is incarcerated with mental slaveship

We lost the “Self”

Became mindless zombies, without love and humanity.
