I Will Come Find You

I Will Come Find You

A Poem by Nazereth

You're seeing the light
But don't you fret
I still love you, though I see
The darkening of the sunset
It's more of the same darkness
That I'd fallen in before
The ending to a life,
And pain I cannot ignore.
But it's okay this way
Everyone dies, everyone's born
You lived your life and had your say
So don't be so forlorn.
I'm not, though the pain is bad
I'm not, though the deepening sad
Since I knew this time would come
And your life would be over and done
So don't you cry, my love, my darling
I'll come find you in the next life
My love for you, and I'll answer the calling
And take you again as my wife.
