Mannequins in society

Mannequins in society

A Poem by Aya Blue

It's irrelevant,
how warm your heart is..
or how beautiful of a mind you have..
To society,
all you are is a mannequin.

Being what you want to be
has no faults,
in your own eyes..
But to society,
all you are is a mannequin.

Different styles and different shades
of water colors..
Every piece of gold and diamond you wear
will fade..
But to society,
you're just another mannequin.

But it's just people.
What will they do?
You've got a gorgeous figure,
your details are perfectly placed.
You have the whole world in your mind,
there's nothing you can't do.

These people have cold hearts,
not a brain in their skull.
All their eyes can see is what is wrong,
and what money can get you.

They are society

I love writing short stories, but I have, unfortunately, never been able to finish one. Most all of my stories are horror or romance based, and I guess I'm here to get help and guidance on the things .. more..
