I had a weird dream last night.

You weren’t in it

The only thing I had left of you is gone

it left

Just like you did

Neither did my dreams or you said goodbye

Both of you simply vanished and left no trace

I hung on to memories hoping that you’d come back

and tell me you were off on a short trip

I was hoping you’d say that your phone broke

or the internet stopped working

or

say that there was no possible way for you to contact me

but no matter how much time seemed to pass by

I was always in your thoughts

But I know that didn’t happen.

Because I called and it rung

and rung

and rung

you always had the decency to let it go to voicemail

I know you weren’t thinking about me because

I wrote to you many times and I received no response

I wish I could say that I regret meeting you but

sadly that’s not the case.

I want to meet you a thousand times

over and over again
