Kiss

Kiss

A Poem by Awdures
"

Missing kissing

"

Anticipation fuelling the fire a true wanting,

a deep desire heat rising up each spine

as arms slowly intertwine

eyes gazing deep into the others

faces moving close together

thoughts running through each mind

will this feel like the first time

a gentle hand takes a trembling chin

and lips move closer and closer in

flesh meets flesh soft and sweet

as gently each lip.. upper first..

then lower meet

tingling feelings move through out

and all inhibitions go free from doubt

tasting the moment not wanting it to stop

over and over climbing to the top

toes curl and bodies draw near

from a kiss each will hold dear

the embrace that follows

so gentle and sweet makes

the kiss shared complete

This is an amazing poem about kissing, I hope to never lose the ability to feel all the emotions and thrills that come with a kiss. You have done well to describe the deep feelings and sensations.

this is sweet, not is a saccharine way, but sensual and refreshing with maybe just a hint of mint

Those first kisses when we are old and gray are still sweet and wonderful. A beautiful poem. I like the description and the kind desire in your words. A outstanding poem on a good topic.

This is such as great poem as it takes something that appears to be simple and desribes so perfectly how complex and special it should be.

I really like the way that the rhyme scheme becomes really apparent after their lips meet. To me that suggests that they were two separate entities but then when they touch everything around them becomes synchronised perfectly. The rhyme also gives the impression that time is moving faster around the two lovers.

The way you've focused on the build up as well as the moment itself really brings over the sense of anticipation.

Once again, great writing and let's hope kissing is as special for everyone on this site as it is in this poem!

Kissig is the best isn't it?

A wonderful ode to lip's embrace.

I could sense the contentment of the soul between the lines that you never even mentioned. Sometimes it's things we don't say in our poems that come out through the experience of reading something as personal as this. Great job.

Quite descriptive! I always like poems expressed in simple language, and the languid ease with which you describe, makes this a pleasant read.
I'll agree with FlawedByDesign on his thoughts about "up each spine". That can be changed. But I don't think the rhyme is forced. The poem doesn't seem to be labored at all.
Another good poem from you, as is expected! But yea, maybe not up to the standards you have created for yourself!

Quite descriptive!
For some kiss is more passionate, more sensual, than sex itself and you show why it might be.
Rhyming is nice though forced at times as in,
"a gentle hand takes a trembling chin
and lips move closer and closer in" - changing "move in closer" to "move closer in" for the sake of the rhyme is a quick fix in producing a rhyme in my opinion...I know from your other work that you can do better :)
In the 2nd line you say "up each spine"; the word "each" makes me think there are more than two people. Why not "our spines" or "the spine"?

All in all nicely done.

The kiss
The soft welcom embrace, put elegantly and with passionate detail
