Luna

Luna

A Poem by Awdures
"

An ode to the moon

"

Silvery beams gently eminating,

Soft skin Ivory against the Half light,

Music of man drifts; revorborating,

Holding firm to merriment of the night.

Watching carefully as children slumber,

Feeding their fantasies, growing their dreams,

Dissipating with dawn, Please remember

Sweet fairy tales, they Frey at the seams,

In your vigil nightly, Phoebe Goddess

Allow us sumptuous dream worlds; boundless.

Awdures
I think this was my first attempt at a sonnet, in loose shakespearian form. I know it's not in iambs...maybe something to try tonight ;)

I think this is really nice. I hate sonnets, but this was good. Thanks for sharing. :)
