Little miss invisible

Little miss invisible

A Poem by Awdures
"

Stand up and be counted

"
She lives in her shell,
A small concentric circle of protection
her comfort.
She can't break through
no voice,
no thought
monotony mutineers.
Little miss nothing.
Little miss nobody.
Stifled in her day to day
Two steps forwards three steps back
Afraid of freshness,
New experiences unknown.
A pillow of fear envelopes her soul.
She's had enough,
Little miss disappearing
Little miss unbelieving.
Breaking her barriers down,
Ripping at her pre defined fate
"This is not for me"
She's built of sterner stuff.
Her cocoon implodes
Little Miss intrepid
takes her first steps
Into the real world.

exquisite~ the imagery you etch with this for myself is pure movement~ at first I see a tiny gir in a snail's shell curled around her pain~the soft steps beyond the perimeter of what she may percieve as comfort zone but is in actuality a self imposed cage~and then she moves ike smooth music out of parched skin into the dew kiss of a new day~ fantastic sequencing~

An image of helplessness and despair in the beggining, I was glad to see it turn positive at the end. Very nice writing, Awdures.

A powerful poem. I like the logic in your words. We must overcome a lot to know. We create our world. Good or bad. Better to try and make mistakes then be the one wishing they did great things with their life. A outstanding poem.
