MonsoonA Poem by Amrutha A VarmaThe poem speaks about the arrival and departure of monsoon and its effect on earth.Elisions lilt past my ear Ah! The monsoons
efflorescence It is ephemeral yet comely It takes on with an
epiphany It is ethereal and
lagniappe Pastiche of the sumptuous
earth Scintilla from the sempiternal
stream Imbues a novel elixir of
being May lit an erstwhile
loveon arriving Ravel redolent flora on departure Murmuring a choice of
refrain mondegreen Mellifluous panacea
tintinnabulation from the sky Harbinger fetching Ingenue
of God Beautiful same as gossamer Leaving behind petrichor Panoply of the seasons of
earth Elisions lilt pat my ear
Ah! The monsoon’s
efflorescence © 2014 Amrutha A VarmaAuthor's Note
