HerA Poem by AviaAbout domestic violence
Slowly, I feel myself slowing down
The vibrant, restless, bubbly girl, is almost all gone now. Each strike, each hit, each broken bone, took a huge part of me. The scars hidden behind makeup that only I can see. I used to feel such beautiful things, love so true. But this monster that lives in your eyes, has torn me away from you. The tenderness and sweet caress, all that I've yearned for. Are now dirty slaps and blackened eyes, and echoes of slamming doors.
