Strong Woman

To all those strong women 😉 (all women)

I see her eyes, layered with many secrets.
They hide her struggles and troubled moments.
Her hunched back, a drum upon which the world beats.
But she radiates beams of light with just her presence.

The epitome of strength, but only I can see.
The cracks and creases on the surface of her heart.
Reminders of hurt and pain that run too deep.
Yet when she smiles, no one sees her fall apart.

The perfect picture the world wants to watch.
On the backdrop of pain, tears and sweat.
Conquering her fears, others see a champion.
But all she sees is achieving the next goal she set.

Her feet, worn from running, when she tried to flee the voices.
Now she retorts with her success, at every single turn.
There are those who just blindly criticize her choices.
They try to quench her fire, but brighter it burns.

Her strory's riddled with obstacles, victory and defeat.
Still she is beautiful in her brokenness and perfect in her faults.
And even if everyone fails to notice, she knows it.
That she's badass, and as strong a woman as they come.
