I can't breathe

It's unexplainable, I don't understand it
My body isn't fine, I feel a burning heat
From within, inside me, what is this?
My insides seem to be turning, something's amiss
I woke up with the thought of you and rushed
I tried to reach you, no answer. Now i'm scared, I feel flushed
Is something wrong? Why am I so worried?
I just know at this moment, it feels pretty hard to breathe.

Its suffocating when the person we value becomes unreachable, even if its temporary because you think of the worst that could happen to them. Negative scenarios are something none of us are fond of, but yet we ponder the possibilities of them. I think many people have felt like this at one point or another in life. Sometimes its mind over matter and you get to a point when you can sense something isn't right with those you care for. Thank you for touching on these feelings in your poem. keep writing and growing. :)
